Trip recount

Hi bloggers,

Here is my trip recount On the 20th of May my class and I went to Margaret Mahy. First I went to

Victoria Square to learn about some maori things that were at the park. Then I went to Margaret Mahy playground to learn about some of her stories engraved  in the ground. After that I went to see some of the mats that have māori designs on them.  Next I got to go on the wākā. Then I played for a little bit on the playground. Then we had to line up and feed all of the tuna. They were very friendly.

My favourite part of the trip  was when I got to go on the wākā .

I learnt that female tuna are bigger than male tuna. I also learnt that some of the Margaret Mahy books are engraved in the concrete.

This trip has helped me with my PBL because it taught me about our town's culture. It gave my group ideas for our design for the poles on the back field.

Whats you favourite activity at Margaret Mahy?
